Infusion Tea – A Top 5 Favorite 01/15/11
I had a busy Saturday, so to start the day right, I made a point to get to Infusion Tea, one of our favorite locally-owned tea shops.
Located in College Park, a cutie-patootie neighborhood all on its own, Infusion Tea hosts one of the best selections of quality loose-leaf tea and yummy vegan-inspired baked goods.
You can get your food and drink to go, or stay and enjoy the ambience, which seems straight out of Austin! (We love the groovy, indie feel to it!)
And, for those in the know, one of the very best places to grab a unique gift is at the attached Artistree Co-op. Here, local artists display their incredibly cute and original things, like incredible paintings, scarfs, belt buckles, jewelry, baby clothes, etc. They just had a special reception for artist Julie Kessler last night. (So bummed I missed it!) Whenever I need a gift for a shower, I know I can find something here at a reasonable cost.
So, I couldn’t leave without buying some tea to take home…I don’t get by Infusion Tea often enough, so I’ve got to store up! A fan of black tea, I went with the following:
- White Raspberry Truffle (my hubby likes the floral flavors)
- Organic Lapsang Souchang (a smokey flavor that rocks on cold days)
- Jasmine Pearls (a relaxing evening tea)
- Juicy Black Currant (a great morning tea that I had on our Disney cruise each day)
If you want a more in-depth explanation of the different teas available, see my earlier post about them. All in all, my day got off to a great start!
