Valentine’s Day In Central Florida

Tarun and I have known each other close to 11 years now. We’ve never celebrated Valentine’s Day with bouquets of roses.

Might sound cliché, but roses are so expensive this time of the year. And the simple fact of flowers dying on me makes me cry. Like, a lot.

We tend to accept Valentines’ Day like any other day. Each day is special. And we make each other feel even more special with small gestures, like making a cup of coffee, breakfast in bed, leaving notes for each other etc… you get the drift.

OK, now I sound like a love expert. Sheesh…

We love Central Florida and made it our home the minute we moved here. There’s a lot to love in Central Florida, and it is not just about theme parks. There’s so much you can do to enjoy Valentine’s Day in Central Florida. Here are some of my favorite things to do:

Scenic boat tour

This might sound cliché, but we love to escape our day to day routines of life by taking a boat ride. It’s a perfect chance to appreciate nature and take advantage of beautiful Central Florida weather this time of the year.

Local musical/theatrical show

There’s nothing better than supporting local artists. If you are into broadway/musical/live shows, why not appreciate the arts and culture with your better half?

Burlesque

I attended a burlesque dance routine a year ago, and the experience is simply amazing! If you both love dancing, put on your dancing shoes and go on a “dancing date” to strut your dancing skills. What better way to celebrate your love, with a dancing move thrown in.

Painting with a Twist

I love the idea of painting classes – especially at Painting with a Twist. You get to experience a fun evening out with your loved ones, sipping wine (REALLY!) and paint your little heart out.

Earth, Blend & Flower by Sakilé

If you are keen to learn how natural scrubs, soaps, shampoos and candles are produced, this place is for you! Sakile provides hands on classes to stir up your own, all natural products in a very Zen atmosphere. A great way to whip up signature concoctions of love portions for your better half.
