From Erin Allport, “ This is James last year to participate in this because you have to be in your kitchen for five years or less.  We’re celebrating our 5th anniversary this fall.  James grew up here & opened The Pig to do something different in Orlando & give chef’s (and himself) a creative outlet.  Now, 5 years later, he’s opening Cask & Larder to do the same & promote the chef’s who have been with us.  Winning the Food & Wine Magazine contest will be good for the pig (obviously) however, it will give Orlando national attention which will be good for everyone & put us on a culinary map.  We have great restaurants in Orlando, really great chef’s & a lot of diversity.  There’s a restaurant for everyone (from chains to independents) & that’s what makes our town so great. ”
