Orlando Philharmonic 20th Anniversary Banners Fly 08/31/12
Look up Downtown Orlando and be swept away by Orlando Philharmonic!
During the month of September, the City of Orlando will fly over 250 street banners in celebration of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s 20th Anniversary Season. The banners are sponsored by Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and will remain up through the orchestra’s opening night celebration on September 29.
Orlando Philharmonic Board President Candice Crawford said she is excited about the banners. “This has been a long-time dream of ours,” she said. “And thanks to the Dr. Phillips Center, all of downtown will be reminded of our history as we prepare to open our season this month.”
Now celebrating its 20th Anniversary Season, the Orlando Philharmonic is Central Florida’s resident professional orchestra, appearing in over 125 performances each year. The orchestra offers a variety of programs, from classical and pops concerts to chamber music, staged musicals and opera productions. Education programs and community concerts are also a core part of the Philharmonic’s programming. Information and concert schedule available at www.OrlandoPhil.org or 407-770-0071.
