Things are a little tight financially in the world right now.  We hoped for more cards this year -someone sent us this and thought we should share it with you!

Holiday Tips From Google!

Happy Holidays from the Google Family!

Learn how to make the holidays more merry with some favorite tips from Google and friends.

  • Make your list… and (spell)check it twice
Put together your holiday shopping list with Google Docs, then take it with you to the mall with Google Drive for Android and iOS.
    ~Thomas
  • Connect with family near and far
I have family all over the world and sometimes we can’t all get together for the holidays. But, with Google+ Hangouts, I can video chat face-to-face with up to 9 other relatives! Google+ Hangouts lets us feel like we’re together, even when we’re apart.
    ~Bernadette
  • Organize your holiday events
Every year, we hold a holiday “pajama jam” complete with festive goodies, holiday tunes, great friends, and of course, ridiculous PJs. This year, we’ll be using a G+ event invite to get the word out, and “Party mode” to share the pics real-time during the event.
    ~Sam
  • Curl up by the (digital) fire
I love spending time with family and friends by the fire during the holidays. Unfortunately, most city apartments don’t have the luxury of a fire place, so I improvise by building my own “Yule Log” playlist in YouTube and cranking up the thermostat a few extra degrees.
    ~Chris
  • Find new hot spots for cool gatherings
When I’m home for the holidays, I love having dinners with childhood friends who are also in town. Often new restaurants have opened up, and I no longer know what the best ones are. Google+ Local is a great way to discover new places and find reviews from my Google+ circles and local experts. Plus, I can even make a reservation, find directions, and then create an event to invite my friends right from the page!
    ~Jacinth
  • Shop with speed
I’m a last minute shopper, so when I’m running around looking for those final gifts, I can’t waste time looking for a mall or store directory to figure out where the stores and departments I want are. Thankfully I have indoor maps on my Android phone to point me in the right direction and help me find my way.
    ~Vicky
  • Find your way to Grandmother’s house
Don’t quite remember how to get over the river and through the woods? Save custom directions with My Maps, then open them on your Android phone.
    ~Laura
  • JAM to your own holiday beat
Christmas music puts everyone in the holiday spirit! Visit JAM with Chrome to make your own holiday tunes within the browser and collaborate in real time with friends all over the world. JAM with Chrome uses Chrome’s modern web technologies.
    ~Brittney
  • Keep your holiday secrets safe
There’s no place like home for the holidays, but when friends and family are around, they all want to try out my Chromebook. It’s easy for me to give them each a test drive–I just enable guest browsing. Now I don’t have to worry about them seeing my holiday shopping list!
    ~Arneil
  • Get into the holiday spirit with your Google TV
Grab a mug of hot cocoa and relax by the warm glow of a Classy Fireplace app fire as you sing along to the holiday music on Pandora.
