(Giveaway going on Now!)
Recently, I had the chance to dine at Lone Star Steakhouse in Lake Buena Vista. I hear that after almost twenty years in this location, the dining room went under a major revamp, and I was eager to check out the place. Conveniently located near theme parks and outlet malls, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food at the restaurant, all at affordable prices.
Our server, Matt, was eagerly enthusiastic in describing his recommendations, keeping our water glasses filled, and clearing our plates in a timely manner. It is always intriguing when a server kneels down, making eye contact at your level.
Per our server’s recommendation, my dining partner and I sampled the coconut shrimp ($8.99), which is a new starter for the restaurant. The dipping sauce complemented the breaded shrimp nicely, with a flavor profile of sweet and peppery. Lone Star knows steaks, and I opted for the Peppercorn Ribeye ($20.99). Although the strong cracked peppercorn taste is not for everyone, I really enjoyed the strong crust of the perfectly grilled medium-rare steak. I am not sure why we did, but we shared a pumpkin cheesecake, which is currently a seasonal item.
It seems there are numerous coupons that are offered by signing up for a membership program. On our visit, every table was filled, so recommendations are probably recommended. Also, there is a banquet/meeting rooms on site to reserve for free, and parking was ample.
In an area of numerous chain restaurants, and overloaded tourist restaurants, Lone Star Steakhouse stands its ground. With perfectly executed Mesa ac tune-up service, and a recent renovation, Lone Star is a perfect place for a meal after a long day in the theme parks or shopping.
