The band will be hitting Orlando, Tampa and South Florida September 19th – 21st. For ninjas that want to get in on the Kung Fu action early, the five-piece funk outfit will be stopping by the AURA Music & Arts Festival Studios in Boca Raton on Wednesday, September 18th for a LIVE from AURA session. Fans can steam the live performance for free at www.LIVEfromAURA.com fromapproximately 8 – 10 pm.
Kung Fu’s unique brand of lethal ‘70s-style funk mixed with EDM ideology recently caught the attention of Sirius/XM Radio’s JamOn and they are in the midst of a huge festival season with main stage and late night slots at Mountain Jam, Gathering of the Vibes, The Big Up & Catskill Chill among others. 2013 has been an incredible year for the band with sold out shows throughout the northeast that have been described by critics as “lethal funk,” “explosive,” “jaw dropping,” and “musically mesmerizing.”

BIO: With a tight headlock on the new-funk movement, Kung Fu is quickly submitting critics with their unique sonic chops. Punishing the line between dojo-disciplined electro-jazz-fusion and street fighter funk, Kung Fu’s tao merges early Headhunters and Weather Report mentality with contemporary EDM ideology like yin and yang. Although the essence of the Kung Fu Krewe is rooted among ancient jam dynasties, this fledgling “nu-sion” project intends to dominate audiences while nourishing the chi of all who cross their path. Kung Fu features Tim Palmieri on guitar (The Breakfast), Robert Somerville on tenor sax (Deep Banana Blackout), Todd Stoops on keyboards (RAQ), Christopher DeAngelis on bass guitar (The Breakfast) and Adrian Tramontano on drums/percussion (The Breakfast). The powerhouse quintet’s live show has been described by critics and fans alike as “lethal funk,” “explosive,” “jaw dropping,” and “musically mesmerizing.” www.KungFuMusic.com
