Dogtoberfest 2013 In Hunters Creek Brings Awareness Of Canine Cancer 10/17/13

While much of October is spent focusing on breast cancer sadly cancer can affect our four legged friends as well.  The 5th Annual Dogtoberfest 2013 will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19.  The event helps bring awareness to animal cancer.  The event takes place at Peace United Methodist Church (13502 Town Loop Blvd., Orlando) in Hunters Creek.

The central event for the day is the annual one mile Dog Walk.  Registration is required.  A Blessing of Pets by Rev. LeeAnn Inman will take place at 9a just before the walk.   Other activities include a Dogtoberfest Vendor Village, a Dog Costume Contest, live entertainment, and an awards ceremony are planned for the event.

Check-in begins at 8:30a, the event runs till 12:30a.  Bring a can of dog food for SPCA of Central Florida.  The event benefits the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Hunter’s Creek.
