South Florida-Based Entertainment and Gaming Company Opening Two Innovative Entertainment Venues; Establishing Second Home Office and Warehouse in Orlando
PrimeTime Amusements, a global operator, seller and event renter of video arcade machines and simulators, is returning to its roots in Orlando twenty-one years after being founded there. PrimeTime Amusements is opening a new family entertainment center at Orlando Fashion Square this fall, debuting Central Florida’s first Shake Shoppe Arcade and Drive-In Lanes bowling alley. The 18,000-square-foot venue, featuring an arcade room with 65 games and a 12-lane, high-tech bowling alley, is designed with collectibles and memorabilia that capture the nostalgia of the 1950s theme. Guests can enjoy classic food favorites with a gourmet twist, an ice cream shop featuring Hershey’s® Ice Cream and gourmet chocolates, and a full-service bar and lounge. The Shake Shoppe Arcade is conveniently located inside the popular Fashion Square mall with an entrance directly across from the Premiere Cinema 14 movie theater as well as one with direct access to the parking garage. Orlando Fashion Square, celebrating 40 years as Orlando’s hometown mall, is owned by UP Development, LLC, a premier retail developer based in Franklin, Tenn.
PrimeTime Amusements’ first Shake Shoppe Arcade is located in Seaside Heights, New Jersey – on the famous boardwalk – and opened just before Memorial Day weekend 2013. The Shake Shoppe replaced an older and smaller arcade that was destroyed during 2012’s Hurricane Sandy.
The arcade and gaming company is also partnering with AMP Group, a privately owned company that owns and operates multiple businesses, including Perfumeland on International Drive in Orlando, to open I-Drive Indoor Kart Racing. The 75,000 square-foot location, scheduled to open in January 2014, will feature a half-mile-long kart track featuring electric cars and state-of-the-art lighting; an 80-plus game room featuring the most advanced arcade games and simulators; a four-lane bowling center; and an all American café. The family-friendly entertainment center will be located at 5228 Van Guard Street, just off I-Drive in Orlando. PrimeTime Amusements’ new Orlando-based home office and warehouse operations will also be based there. The company’s primary warehouse and headquarters is located in Fort Lauderdale.
