The gifts have all been opened but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop singing the Christmas carols or stop enjoying the sights of the season.
Over at SeaWorld now through the end of the year the annual SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration puts on all the goodness of Christmas while keeping the seas at center stage. The amazing live nativity show ‘O Wondrous Night’ features 30 carols and plenty of camels (along with a plethora of other animals as well). The park itself is filled with enjoyable Christmas decorations and live holiday musical acts that set the mood no matter what the temperature.
Don’t worry about the animals because SeaWorld’s animals get in on the Christmas action as well. Everyone’s favorite sea lions, Clyde and Seamore, meet up with a few mischievous otters, a comical elf, and a wintery walrus or two for a Christmas show like no other.
Shamu Christmas Miracles is a fantastic Christmas show of friendship and peace. The show features the killer whales and plenty of amazing Christmas songs.
Shamu’s Happy Harbor also gets in on the action with Holly Jolly Railway added to the lineup of kiddie rides and snow flurries filling the air.
Elmo’s Christmas Wish show features Rosita, Grover, Zoe, Cookie Monster, and that super ticklish fur ball Elmo in a Christmas show that is an instant holiday classic.
Wild Artic takes a vacation during the holiday season and instead The Polar Express Experience is offered. As one of the most popular attraction overlays in all of Central Florida this simulator ride takes riders on the famous train to the North Pole. Once rides arrive at the North Pole the big man himself is there meeting guests.
Bayside Stadium features an impressive outdoor lakeside ice skating extravaganza. SeaWorld Parks have always been known for their impressive ice skating shows and this one doesn’t disappoint. Make sure to check out the last show of the evening and stay for the fireworks that follow directly afterwards.
Each evening is topped off with a holiday light and fireworks show. Dancing fountains, glittering lights, and festive fireworks, all choreographed to classic holiday favorites.
The best part of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is that it’s included in regular park admission and while the parks are all busy this time of year even on busy days SeaWorld just seems more enjoyable than some of those other insanely busy parks in town.
SeaWorld invited us out to the Christmas celebration a few weeks ago. Even with us arriving at dusk we were still able to comfortable enjoy some of the highlights of the park (like the new Antarctica area, a must see after dark, and the one of kind coaster Manta) all while enjoying the holiday festivities.
So step back from the holiday rush and enjoy a relaxing post-Christmas holiday celebration at SeaWorld, going on now nightly through end of the year. And for Florida residents if you buy a one day Fun Card pass you’ll get all of 2014 free with it.
