Get Freezin’ for a Reason during 5th Annual Special Olympics Florida’s Polar Plunge® at Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark™
It’s always one of our Top5 Events to feature to get people aware of Special Olympics and get them excited about one of our favorite water parks!
On Saturday, February 1, 2014, Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark™, will be hosting the 5th Annual Polar Plunge® benefitting Special Olympics Florida.
Polar Plunge is a statewide fundraiser during which individuals and teams raise money for the privilege of plunging into the chilled down wave pool alongside Special Olympics athletes. Aquatica Orlando is usually warm and tropical, but once each year participants can experience the ‘thrill of the chill’, all while supporting a great cause.
After taking the plunge, participants have access to the park for the day. Last year, more than 1,100 people took the plunge to benefit Special Olympics Florida! Plungers who raise more than $100 can earn extra incentives, including Aquatica Orlando and SeaWorld® tickets and admission to Discovery Cove®.
By participating in the Polar Plunge, plungers help athletes to learn new skills, make new friends, and improve their health and confidence. Register today at plungeFL.org.
