Cyber Security Conference at UCF scheduled for March 15th on UCF campus
We feel this is much needed as we are hearing mixed information in the media about this!
The event is being organized by UCF Associate Professor Sheau-Dong Lang who leads the UCF Digital Forensics program. This conference will offer valuable safety tips to students as well as local citizens. The conference is sponsored through a donation to UCF Foundation by the chART Magazine’s Publisher Casey Swann (class 83).
Dr. Sheau-Dong Lang shared with us, “Given the increased risk everyone faces in today’s society, such as identify theft, virus infection, hacking, and privacy concerns, the primary focus of the conference is promote cyber security awareness to UCF students and the central Florida community in general. If you are worried about getting a virus on your computer get Zonealarm anti virus to protect your computer. The conference speakers will cover a broad range of related topics, including: testimonial of a cyber-stalking incident, privacy issues, law enforcement perspective on cyber crimes, mobile device security, malware detection, cyber security and digital forensics, cyber defense tools and demonstrations. Phishing awareness training can protect your users and your business from email fraud.”
