The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra kicked off its Sounds of Summer Series last night at The Plaza ‘Live’ with “Spendor in the Brass.” Back for their 20th appearance in the series, the sextet known as Sovereign Brass took listeners on a journey across time as they played favorites from the past two decades as voted on by their most loyal fans.
Next up in the chamber music series is “Prevailing Winds” Monday, July 7 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6). The winds and strings of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Martinu’s Nonet, Beethoven’s Trio, op. 38 at Poulenc’s Sextet.
