Celebrate Mad Cow Theatre’s 20th season like it’s 1776!

One "Mother of a Cast" in a show about Our Founding Fathers

1776-1981776, Sherman Edwards’ beloved Tony Award-winning musical, celebrating a revolutionary moment in history has a bold new all-female voice! Truly an excellent choice this election year, 1776 is exact-LEE* the best way for Mad Cow Theatre to ring in their 20th season.

On Friday, September 22, join in on the 20th Birthday Celebration and Opening Night of 1776 (purchase tickets to this special event here). The cocktail party starts at 6pm with restaurant partner Ceviche, followed by the show and wrapping up opening night with a champagne toast with the cast. Tickets are $75 (and just $30 for Mad Cow Theatre subscribers).

I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is called a disgrace — two are called a law firm — and that three or more become a Congress.” So begins this patriotic musical depicting a contentious Continental Congress debating the pros and cons of ever agreeing “in the course of human events.”  If you thought bickering politicians was a new thing, you’ve got another thing coming. And this time the musical is presented with females in every role thanks to Mad Cow Theatre’s bold all-female casting.

Performances run Thursdays – Sundays, September 23 – October 23, 2016 in The Harriett Theatre. Save on special preview performances Wednesday, September 21 & Thursday, September 22 at 7:30pm. Visit Mad Cow’s website for additional specials or to purchase tickets.

Our Founding Fathers are seen in a whole new way. Should be one “mother” of a revolutionary tale.

*Enjoy “The Lees of Old Virginia” to get those patriotic juices flowing before the show.
