FTC Orlando to Host Largest Educational Conference in State for Drupal Web Developers
March 5, 2016 @ 8:00 AM - March 6, 2016 @ 5:00 PM| $35.00
More than 300 web developers from all over the United States will meet at Florida Technical College’s Orlando campus on March 5-6 for two days of learning, hands-on training and networking during Florida DrupalCamp 2016. The campus is located at 12900 Challenger Pkwy.
Drupal is a popular, free, content-management system (CMS) that relies entirely on its community of users for updates and new features. Drupal can be used to build everything from personal blogs, to websites and e-commerce sites. Millions of webpages are powered by Drupal, including WhiteHouse.gov, Grammys.com and Stanford.edu. The two-day conference is organized by an all-volunteer group of Drupal developers.
“It is a true honor to host this event,” said FTC President and CEO David Ruggieri. “These are some of the best developers in the world who will convey here to learn from each other and exchange ideas, while mentoring the next generation of IT professionals. It is these developers’ expertise and talent that allow us to take online courses, read our favorite magazines on a tablet or shop from the comfort of the kitchen table with a few clicks on the computer’s mouse.”
The conference’s agenda will cover topics like web design and theming, development and optimized performance, step-by-step site building, and project management, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. both days. It is opened to developers at all levels, from beginners to experts. The cost is $35 for the entire program. Lunch is included. To register, visit www.fldrupal.camp.
Florida Technical College offers Bachelor’s Degrees in Information Technology, Web Design and Programming, as well as Associate Degrees in Computer Information Science.
This is the fourth consecutive year that FTC has hosted the camp.
