Orlando, FL, August 11, 2015 –BGE Management (www.bgemanagement.com), and Full Sail University, (www.fullsail.edu), are proud to announce that singer/songwriter Casey Conroy, (www.iamcaseyconroy.com), will be holding her (latest/upcoming) performance at the university’s state-of-the-art performance venue, Full Sail Live, on August 18, 2015 at 6 PM. The event is free and open to the public, as well as to Full Sail University students, staff and faculty.
At just 17 years of age, Conroy’s music has been making a significant impact on the entertainment industry. At 15, she made her local debut performance at BB King’s Blues Club with her first single, Innocently, which released in 2013. Most recently, Conroy was selected to perform at the 2015 Florida Music Festival’s GRAMMY Showcase at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, she has headlined the Orlando Amphitheater, the Orlando Fringe Festival, a two-hour sold out show at The Abbey, and currently has a recurring monthly show at The Venue. Conroy’s new EP, Impressions in the Sound is due to be released this fall.
Conroy’s band is comprised of Musical Director, Willy Colon, as well as Jun Sampson and Rob Bradley. Together, their sound is a fusion within the genres of indie pop, rock and electronica, with Conroy’s distinct vocals combined with strong orchestral arrangements.
As part of the August 18 show, students from Full Sail University’s Show Production Bachelor of Science degree program will participate in various production roles throughout Conroy’s performance. A primary component of their curriculum, students participate in hands-on sessions that take place in Full Sail’s world-class recording studios and live venues. Many of these sessions involve recording studio and live performances by artists in the multiple professional facilities housed on campus.
These sessions provide a great opportunity for up-and-coming artists and bands to receive free recording time and develop their studio or live performance skills while helping Full Sail students hone their craft. During studio sessions, students interface with guest artists to record and overdub their projects. During live sessions, similar to Casey Conroy’s performance, students collaborate with guest artists to film and produce live performances on stage.
“BGE is so proud to present Casey,” said Founder and President of BGE, Gary Conroy. “She is a remarkable storyteller and someone who personifies the essence of an exceptional artist, a true creator, and a person of absolute integrity looking to take her music into the market to accomplish a highly entertaining experience. We are so grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with the students and faculty of Full Sail University, and to further introduce her music to audiences worldwide.”
“Providing our students with multi-faceted learning opportunities ranging from artist relations, lighting and sound, and concert media design, to live event management and recording is a key component of our curriculum,” said Dale Rock, Artist Relations Director at Full Sail University. “We look forward to welcoming Casey Conroy to campus, and to the incredible production the students have in store.”
