Feld Ent Disney On Ice Frozen

(Sung to the tune of “Let It Go“)

You must go! You must GOOOOO!! The cold shouldn’t bother you anyway….

Head’s up to all you Frozen fans out there! Anna, Elsa, Olaf and the gang will visit the Amway Center this weekend and will sing and dance for you LIVE at Disney on Ice Presents Frozen! Top 5’s longtime friend and Feld Entertainment Executive VP/Producer, Nicole Feld, is totally stoked! She says, “In our thirty five year history of Disney on Ice we have been waiting for this film! “Frozen” is such a wonderful tale and it makes for just the perfect ice show. Not just because it has to do with a wintery feeling and ice and snow which obviously lends itself to the ice medium, but because the story has so much emotional resonance with families.

We are attending a dress freezehersal (I tried?) tonight and couldn’t be more excited! Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Jen for pretty pictures, as well as @DisneyOnIce, @AmwayCenter and the hashtags #DisneyOnIce and #Frozen for some ‘cool‘ behind the scenes tweets!

A bunch of seats in the upper level were just released, and they’re starting at only $20!

Tickets may be purchased at: amwaycenter.com, Chase Box Office at Amway Center, Ticketmaster retail locations, charge-by-phone at 800.745.3000 or at Ticketmaster.com.  All dates, act(s) and ticket prices are subject to change without notice.  All tickets are subject to applicable taxes, service, handling and facility fee charges.  For Amway Center box office and ticket information, visit amwaycenter.com (phone purchases are not available through the Amway Center box office). The Amway Center is located at 400 W. In addition to the Disney Princess 5K and the runDisney Kids Races, the Feb. 19-22 race weekend will feature the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K and Disney Glass Slipper Challenge, which involves running the 10K and the half marathon on consecutive days (19.3 miles). Runners who complete the Challenge will earn the Disney Glass Slipper Challenge Medal to go along with medals from each individual race.

The Princess Half Marathon Weekend is one of two women-focused runDisney events. The other is the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend in May at Disneyland Resort in California.  Both races focus on healthy active lifestyles for women and girls and are among the largest women-specific running events in the country.  For instance, after nearly 7,500 runners ran in the inaugural Princess Half Marathon event in 2009, the popularity of the race has grown considerably with more than 26,000 registered runners for last year’s race.

The race weekend will feature several additional elements:

  • There will be a runDisney Health and Fitness Expo, where runners pick up race packets, shop for the latest running apparel and technology, and meet industry experts such as runDisney official training consultant Jeff Galloway and runDisney nutritionist Tara Gidus. The expo is free and open to the public at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.
  • Runners and their families can take part in additional elements, including breakfast with Disney princesses, a Pasta in the Park party at Epcot to “carb up” for the next morning’s races, ChEAR Squad amenities to help fans cheer on the runners, a Race Retreat for a VIP running experience and a Happily Ever After Party at Downtown Disney to celebrate each runner’s victories.
  • Any participant who completes both the Disney Princess Half Marathon in February and the Tinker Bell Half Marathon in May will earn a special pink version of the runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge Medal. The coveted medal features the likeness of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse with a pink overlay and lanyard.
  • Runners have a new way to fundraise for the race weekend and all other runDisney events starting July 15. CrowdRise is a fundraising platform that allows users to start their own fundraising group or contribute to an already established charity group.

Disney On Ice presents Frozen in Orlando! Dates and Details!

Feld Entertainment, Inc., Brings the #1 Animated Movie of All Time to Life with Disney On Ice presents Frozen in Orlando

The Academy Award®winning tale will be told live for the first time in this production, capturing the dynamic between two royal sisters, Anna and Elsa.  Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her powers. Rugged mountain man Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear.  Audiences will get to sing along with such musical masterpieces as “Let it Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper.”

“In our more than 30 years of producing Disney On Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this,” says producer Nicole Feld.  “While it might seem obvious that Frozen is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.”

Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee add, “Seeing audiences around the world embrace Frozen has been the experience of a lifetime.  And to now have the chance to consult with the talented team at Feld Entertainment and watch their creation come to life on ice, is thrilling.”

In Disney On Ice presents Frozen, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse take the audience through the magical story based in Arendelle, with special appearances by beloved Disney princesses and favorite characters from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and Finding Nemo and Disney’s The Lion King, who come together to prove that true love is the greatest power of all.  Director Patty Vincent says, “Our goal is to showcase these heartwarming characters in a way that allows the audience to cheer and sing along throughout this emotional journey.”

To create a completely immersive experience for the audience, the set design will encompass the space from the ice surface up through the air, drawing everyone into the story and closer to the characters. Families will feel that they are trekking up to the North Mountains with Anna, Kristoff and Sven, and they will tangibly experience the storm inside Elsa.  Elsa’s magic will be enhanced by state-of-the art special effects while her emotions will be conveyed through powerful skating.
